Responsibilities

In this role you will join a well-established, multidisciplinary team consisting of 4 other Pediatric Intensivists, pediatric residents, critical care nurses, respiratory therapists, social workers, dietitians, child life and more. The Blank Health Provider team comprises 150+ pediatric providers spanning 20 subspecialties to provide care for patients throughout the state of Iowa.

More about the facility:

• Blank Children’s is an 88-bed facility, with the PICU being a 12 bed unit, embedded within the core of the hospital – close to the Pediatric ER, Adult ICU and surgery.
• Blank serves as the only Pediatric Level II Trauma Center in the state and is home to a Level III NICU complete with a Pediatric Transport Team, Neonatal Transport Team and in-house transfer center.
• The Blank Emergency Department staffs Pediatric Emergency Medicine physicians and sees roughly 27,000 patients annually.
• Attendings support an ACGME accredited Pediatric Residency Program, which is one of seven residency programs supporting approximately 100 resident physicians each academic year.

Qualifications

• MD or DO
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine
• Hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa
• Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)
• J-1 Waiver Sponsorship avaiable
