- 84 annual 24-hour shifts

- Care for: OBED Patients & unassigned emergent patients (vaginal deliveries and C‑sections)
- 1400 annual OBED visits; 1/3rd result in Delivery
- Access to subspecialists including MFM
- Iowa only maternal transport team
- Adjunct Faculty Family Medicine Residency
- Annual base salary of $400,000
- $150,000 recruitment incentive
- Moving allowance up to $15,000
- Paid malpractice with tail coverage
- 403B with match and 457B savings plans
- Annual CME allowance up to $6,000

Mercy One Des Moines Medical Center is a 622‑bed Level II Trauma center that has been faithfully serving the community since 1893. Averaging 3,000 deliveries per year,
Mercy One Des Moines is equipped with a 44‑bed Level III NICU, an 8‑bed OB ED, 15 labor suites, and 40 postpartum recovery rooms.
