Professor of Practice – Nursing

Responsibilities:

• Classroom and clinical instruction.
  
  This position includes a teaching load of 12credits per semester to align with the candidate’s expertise areas.
• Course development and assessment.
• Evaluation of student progress.
• Serve on University and Nursing Department committees.
• Serve as academic advisors to students.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or in accordance with the Faculty Handbook.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in nursing
• Two years of clinical nursing experience
• Individuals who are currently licensed in another state and recognized for licensure in Iowa, pursuant to the nurse licensure compact contained in Iowa code

Desired/Preferred Qualifications:

• Doctoral degree in nursing or plan to pursue a doctorate.
• Teaching experience in the classroom and clinical settings.
