Job Summary

Drake University's Recreational Services is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Intramural and Student Development Graduate Assistant. This position will be a 10‑month role, with summer work potentially available. The Graduate Assistant will work no more than 20 hours per week in exchange for $15 per hour and free tuition (costs for books and fees apply). Responsibilities include assisting with the planning and administration of a comprehensive intramural program, as well as the student development and leadership program.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Admittance and continued enrollment into a full‑time Drake graduate program
Job Duties
  • 50% – Plan, promote, administer, and evaluate all intramural program offerings (Essential)
  • 20% – Hire, train, supervise, pay, and evaluate student intramural officials and supervisors (Essential)
  • 15% – Serve as primary site manager for specific intramural events and building supervision (Essential)
  • 5% – Assist with professional and leadership development of student employees (Essential)
  • 5% – Maintain intramural records and reports (Essential)
  • 5% – Perform other duties as assigned (Essential)
