Position: Mechanical Commissioning Engineer (Data Centers)

Mechanical Commissioning Engineer (Data Centers)

Base pay range: $72,800/yr – $85,500/yr

Position Description: This role supports development and execution of all mechanical aspects of commissioning projects from engagement through turn over. The Engineer will develop mechanical test schedules, final test procedures, review submittals, maintain project cadence, and coordinate contractors and vendors to complete testing and acceptance.

Responsibilities
  • Support safety for all mechanical tests.
  • Complete commissioning and performance acceptance testing of mechanical infrastructure systems.
  • Develop mechanical test procedures, MOPS, SOO’s and checklists.
  • QA/QC of all mechanical test procedures.
  • Provide input to the overall commissioning plan.
  • Develop reports and maintain daily status reports for the commissioning project manager.
  • Attend customer factory witness tests and coordinate equipment inspections.
  • Execute test scripts to confirm equipment and system operation to design specification.
  • Engage with customers and vendors to ensure positive experience and schedule adherence.
  • Conduct facility walk downs, turnover, and punch list reviews.
  • Seek new opportunities to provide service and value to customer.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years Data Center commissioning experience.
  • OSHA safety knowledge.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&’s and specifications.
  • Knowledge of mission critical design concepts and BA/SM systems.
  • Knowledge of mechanical trend analysis and TAB process.
  • Strong experience with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Work under construction site conditions.
  • Extensive travel (75%) and passport required.
  • Able to work in the US without sponsorship.
