- Oversee construction projects to ensure they are completed according to the contract. This includes observing construction, reviewing and signing documents, and communicating with MSA staff, contractors, and clients.
- Communicate professionally with clients, contractors and build ongoing business relationships.
- Perform engineering calculations for the analysis, study, and design of specific project aspects.
- Utilize electronic tools such as GIS, models, BIM, and CADD for project analysis, study, and design.
- Assist in creating cost estimates for projects.
- Instruct technicians on drafting for the projects you design.
- Conduct field investigations or inspections ranging from visual observations to detailed measurements using specialized equipment.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
Experience
- Four years of relevant, post-graduate mechanical engineering experience
Required Knowledge And Skills
- Knowledge of the philosophies, principals, practices, and techniques of engineering
- Proficiency with digital tools, which may include Microsoft Office, GIS, BIM, and/or CADD
- Advanced interpersonal skills for facilitating relationships with colleagues
- Creative problem-solving skills to solve new and challenging problems
- Ability to mentor less experienced staff
- The selected candidate must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
License
- Professional Engineering License in IA with WI, IL, and MN preferred
The salary for this position ranges from $88,871 to $142,194 per year, commensurate with experience. Higher compensation within this range will be paid to candidates with significant experience and exceptional qualifications.
