Overview

Marick Mechanical is a leading provider of Commercial Mechanical Solutions with a reputation for delivering high-quality mechanical solutions. We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Estimator to join our growing team. This role is integral in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our project bids and overall project planning.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed mechanical cost estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
  • Review project plans, specifications, and other documentation to develop comprehensive bid packages.
  • Identify potential project risks and provide cost analysis for mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure estimates align with project requirements.
  • Stay current with industry standards, market trends, and material costs.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project reviews to assess project scope and challenges.
  • Support project teams during construction by providing updated cost estimates and assisting with budget tracking.
  • Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and up-to-date market information.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred but not required).
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator in the construction or engineering industry.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and piping.
  • Proficiency in estimating software (such as FastPIPE, Quick Pen, or similar).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
