Overview
Marick Mechanical is a leading provider of Commercial Mechanical Solutions with a reputation for delivering high-quality mechanical solutions. We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Estimator to join our growing team. This role is integral in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our project bids and overall project planning.
Responsibilities- Prepare detailed mechanical cost estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Review project plans, specifications, and other documentation to develop comprehensive bid packages.
- Identify potential project risks and provide cost analysis for mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure estimates align with project requirements.
- Stay current with industry standards, market trends, and material costs.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project reviews to assess project scope and challenges.
- Support project teams during construction by providing updated cost estimates and assisting with budget tracking.
- Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and up-to-date market information.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator in the construction or engineering industry.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and piping.
- Proficiency in estimating software (such as FastPIPE, Quick Pen, or similar).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
