CAD Operator

Job Description

Terracon is currently searching for a skilled CAD Operator to work in our Des Moines office. If you enjoy working for a fast-paced organization on a variety of projects, this might be for you!

The CAD Operator will work closely with Project Engineers and Project Managers. This position requires proficiency with the use of Terracon's chosen CAD related software with an emphasis on Micro Station, Auto Cad and Open Roads. The CAD Operator is capable of reading architectural and engineering drawings and have a basic understanding of related civil engineering work.

• Ability to maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor with all staff
• Strong understanding of techniques and industry standards
• Ability to manage a fair workload by staying focused and managing priorities
• Ability to produce error-free drawings without sacrificing an overabundance of time
• Strong knowledge of CAD and other Engineering/Technical skills
• Excellent computer skill, including Microsoft Office knowledge
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from various groups of people
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

• Minimum of a two-year certificate in Engineering Technology and/or Computer Aided Design preferred.
• 3 years of CAD experience desired, Micro Station strongly preferred
