We are seeking a talented individual to join our accounting team at Marsh Mc Lennan . This role will be based in Urbandale, Iowa. This is a hybridेंड role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
In this role, you will collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders at various levels around the world, be an integral part of streamlining processes and identifying efficiencies and communicate with key stakeholders and leadership as part of a high-functioning team.
We will count on you to:- Manage a team of professionals who are responsible for Global processes.
- Research accounting policy or reporting issues.
- Prepare and analyze reconciliation questions and ensure timely and accurate monthly and quarterly close.
- Review internal processes and procedures and provide recommendations to management for improvement.
- Assist and lead the implementation of process changes and projects.
- Verify the work of and provide guidance to less experienced levels of colleagues.
- Provide functional advice or training to less e‑experienced accountant positions.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, carrier agreements, SOX procedures, local GAAP and US GAAP, and local statutory regulations (.Set Engine only) regarding financial matters.
- Prepare ad hoc analyses as assigned.
- Partner with key stakeholders on various projects and company initiatives.
- 5+ years of professional experience in accounting or finance.
- Working knowledge of Global processes.
- Ability to drive consistent execution and strong interpersonal skills.
- Internal control experience.
- Prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience managing Global processes preferred.
