Join Des Moines Orthopaedic Surgeons, P.C. as a Radiology Technologist working in our Des Moines office. Obtaining x‑ray images for our patients plays an important role and ensuring they receive appropriate care for their orthopaedic injury or concern. You will be part of a team of Radiology Technologists, Ortho Techs, Physician Assistants and Physicians to create a comfortable patient experience, ensuring patients get their questions answered and understand their journey to healing.
To thrive in this role, you must hold a Permit to Practice in the state of Iowa as a Radiology Technologist and care about the wellbeing of every patient.
Hours
:
Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM. No call or weekend coverage, unless you wish to support our Urgent Injury Clinic on weekends for extra pay.
- Be on your feet most of the day greeting and preparing patients for their x‑ray exam before operating the x‑ray machine to capture high‑quality images.
- Review images and make any necessary adjustments before sending them to the physician.
- Serve as a patient’s kind guide and reliable helper during their appointment.
- Collaborate closely with the care team to provide patient care we can be proud of.
- Permit to practice in the state of Iowa as a Radiology Technologist.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to calm and reassure nervous patients.
- Independent worker who can stay focused and knows when to seek help.
- Focus on orthopedic x‑ray imaging.
- No night or weekend coverage; optional weekend work at the Urgent Injury Clinic.
