Pharmacist - Iowa Methodist Outpatient Pharmacy - Part Time
Des Moines, IA | $-$
Shift: 8‑hour shifts, 40 hours every two weeks
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated, licensed Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care—including both clinical and distributive services—to patients served within our health system. You’ll collaborate closely with providers and clinic staff to support optimal patient outcomes and ensure safe, effective medication use.

- Provide constructive feedback to identify opportunities for improvement within the department
- Education:
Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.
D.) or B.S. Pharmacy with equivalent clinical experience. Completion of an ASHP PGY‑1 pharmacy residency in community practice or ambulatory care desirable - Experience:
Must be able to competently read, write, and speak English - Proficiency in navigating the electronic medical record
- Preferred:
One or more years of community pharmacy experience - Desirable:
One or more years of hospital pharmacy experience - License(s)/Certification(s):
- Must maintain a current license to practice pharmacy in Iowa and be in good standing with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy Examiners
- Must attain an Iowa pharmacy license within six months of employment if not currently licensed
- Must be directly supervised by a licensed pharmacist until an Iowa Pharmacist license is obtained
- Valid driver’s license for work‑related vehicle use
