As a Bilingual Behavioral Health Intervention Services (BHIS) Caseworker, you will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of Iowa kids and their families. • Utilize creative interventions to modify the psychological, behavioral, emotional, cognitive, and social factors to help the youth make healthy/positive choices.
• Complete intake interview and paperwork, create treatment plans with families, and write discharge summaries.
• Provide family support and promote positive parenting skills to promote self-sufficiency.
• Maintain staff/client relationship boundaries and provide professional service.
• Engage and coach youth and families in skill development (e.g., coping, communication, problem solving).

• Bachelor's degree in social sciences plus a minimum of 1 year of experience or 20 hours training in child mental health, OR bachelor’s degree in non-social science field plus a minimum of 2 years’ experience or 30 hours training in child mental health.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Flexibility to work evenings.
• Excellent time management and ability to manage your own schedule.
• Ability to engage youth and families.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Previous caseworker experience such as BHIS, FSRP, etc. is helpful.
• Valid driver's license and driving record that meets agency guidelines.
