** Lead Medical Lab Technologist
** In addition to the Medical Laboratory Technologist job duties, the Lead Medical Laboratory Technologist functions as the laboratory leader for the designated section. General duties include: writing and maintaining laboratory procedures, monitoring the quality control program, assessing competency of laboratory employees, coordinating performance of proficiency testing, validating new testing procedures, monitoring section supplies and ordering new supplies when necessary.
** Qualifications
* ** Graduate or student graduating within six months with a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science (MLS), Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS), or Medical Technology (MT)
* Bachelor’s degree in related science field plus Certificate in Medical Laboratory Science (MLS), Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS), or Medical Technology (MT), recognized by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS)
* Certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or equivalent is required within six months of employment
