Customer Service Representative – Mercy One Central Iowa
Job Overview: Provide phone support in Mercy One Des Moines call center, answering test result requests, communicating with physicians, and performing lab report logistics.
Responsibilities- Answer phone requests for test results and transmit results to ordering providers.
- Ensure accurate electronic documentation of calls, faxed reports, and lab data.
- Print and fax lab reports as directed and file reports for courier delivery.
- Page courier for stat and routine pick‑ups and assist with additional courier duties.
- Review reports for missing information and correct errors.
- Retrieve and review original physician orders for demographic information.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and provide timely results.
- Apply Lean/Six Sigma principles to meet quality management goals.
Weekdays Evening Shift – 20 hours per week.
Employment TypePart‑time.
General Requirements- Valid driver's license.
- At least one year of client services/clerical experience (preferred).
- Previous laboratory experience (preferred).
- Computer proficiency (preferred).
- Proof of completion of mandatory child and dependent adult abuse reporting training within three months of hire.
High school diploma or GED (preferred).
