Call lights going off down the hall. Too many residents, not enough hands. Charting while someone waits for help to the bathroom. If you’ve worked in a nursing home or assisted living, you know the feeling.
You got into this work to care for people, not to race a clock.
Who we areWe’re a non-medical in-home care company serving Des Moines, West Des Moines, Urbandale, Grimes, Johnston, Clive, Norwalk, Pleasant Hill and Altoona. Our clients are seniors and adults with disabilities who want to stay at home, safely.
What you’ll do- Personal care: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting
- Safe transfers and mobility help
- Fall prevention and keeping the home safe
- Meals, medication reminders, light housekeeping and errands
- Dementia and Alzheimer’s care
- Companionship that isn’t rushed
Your facility or CNA background shows up in everything: how you transfer a client, how you spot a change, how you stay calm with a dementia client on a rough afternoon. This role is non-medical, so you won’t be doing clinical tasks. But your skills make you the kind of caregiver families trust right away. You'll still get paid, hands-on training at our Urbandale office, so you keep growing.
Whatwe promise back
- Raises in writing before you’re hired
- Every training hour paid from day one
- Real PTO
- Premium pay for short visits and holidays
- An office team that picks up when you call
- Every detail on paper at your interview
Home care trades one kind of hard for another. There’s no coworker down the hall. You’ll work on your own in clients’ homes and make good calls without someone looking over your shoulder. If that sounds like freedom, you’ll fit right in.
One more thingOne more thing: after you apply, we'll send a short questionnaire. It ends with a space to tell us more about yourself. A story, an interesting fact, anything you like. We read every one.
