Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird seeks to fill an Assistant Attorney General position in the Civil Litigation Division of her office, specializing in the area of Worker's Compensation.
Responsibilities- Defend the State and its agencies in worker’s compensation proceedings and proceedings involving the Second Injury Fund.
- Represent the state in civil litigation related to worker’s compensation.
- Support a high caseload and collaborate with attorneys and paralegals in a collegial environment.
- Graduated from an accredited school of law.
- Licensed or eligible to obtain a license to practice law in Iowa.
- Previous worker’s compensation experience preferred.
- Admitted to the Iowa State Bar and appropriate federal courts at time of appointment.

- Annual pay ranges from $62,337.60 to $, depending on experience.
- Background check required; uses E‑Verify to confirm employment eligibility.
