We are an established, mid‑sized general contractor based in Des Moines. Due to growth, we are looking for an experienced Project Manager to work directly with our President. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager for our Design Build team in the Construction industry. If you have a knack for leading and managing complex construction projects, and are passionate about design, planning, and execution, then this role is for you. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from conception to completion.

This includes budgeting, construction scheduling, and managing RFI's.

• Oversee all aspects of the design‑build project, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Manage and respond to RFI's promptly and accurately, ensuring effective communication.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to create functional and efficient project designs.
• Monitor project progress continuously, making necessary adjustments to ensure successful completion.
• Identify potential risks and devise contingency plans to manage them effectively.
• Foster a collaborative environment within the project team, promoting open communication and constructive feedback.
• Ensure compliance with all local and national building codes, as well as health and safety regulations.
• Liaise with clients, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any concerns or queries they may have.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the construction industry, with a specific focus on design‑build projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven track record of managing design‑build projects from inception to completion, on time and within budget.
• Proficient in construction scheduling and budgeting, with a strong understanding of the RFI process.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Exceptional problem‑solving abilities, with a knack for identifying potential issues and devising effective solutions.
• In‑depth knowledge of local and national building codes, as well as health and safe‑t y regulations.
• Proficiency in project management software, such as MS Project or Primavera.
• Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification would be an added advantage.
