The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and profitability of the branch. This position oversees branch operations, sales growth, inventory management, customer satisfaction, employee development, and financial performance. The Branch Manager works closely with Regional Management and other company leaders to develop and execute business strategies that drive growth, operational excellence, and customer success.
Job Responsibilities Sales and Business Development- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales, improve margins, and grow market share.
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts while pursuing new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, and sales representatives to strengthen customer relationships and drive sales growth.
- Monitor marketplace trends, competitive activity, and customer needs.
- Address customer concerns and satisfaction issues promptly and professionally.
- Participate in community, business, and industry organizations to enhance the branch's reputation and market presence.
- Oversee inventory management activities, including forecasting, planning, auditing, and inventory control.
- Ensure warehouse operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and accurately.
- Monitor inventory levels to support customer service and operational requirements.
- Work closely with purchasing, operations, and sales teams to optimize inventory investment and product availability.
- Hire, train, coach, and supervise branch personnel.
- Foster a positive, productive, and customer-focused work environment.
- Provide leadership, direction, and support to employees to achieve branch and organizational goals.
- Evaluate employee performance and support professional development opportunities.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the branch.
- Partner with the Credit Department to ensure compliance with company credit policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and ethical business practices.
- Support compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity laws and company policies related to hiring, promotion, compensation, and workplace conduct.
- Maintain a professional image while representing the company within the community and industry.
- Continue developing knowledge of industry trends, products, management practices, and financial disciplines.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a similar management position required.
- Four years of management experience preferred.
- Minimum of three years of progressive industry experience required.
- Four years of progressive industry experience preferred.
- Product and application experience required.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills.
