Pay: $30 – $50 per hour

Innovative Manufacturing & Engineering Inc. (IME) is seeking a motivated and experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to join our growing team. This is a rare opportunity to work 1st shift (4 x 10 s Monday - Thursday) or Weekend shift (
Friday through Sunday
, 12-hour shifts
) and get paid for a full 40-hour week
, giving you up to four days off each week.

• Set up and program CNC lathes with live tooling and bar feeders
• Read technical drawings and blueprints to prepare accurate setups
• Use CAM software to model cutting paths and generate machine code
• Optimize machine settings to improve efficiency without compromising quality
• Perform QA checks to ensure products meet design specifications
• Maintain and troubleshoot machines to ensure continuous operation
• Clean, calibrate, and sharpen tooling as needed
• Train and support new team members on machining best practices
• Contribute to continuous improvement and 5S initiatives
• Maintain production pace to meet scheduling demands

• 5+ years of CNC lathe or mill operation, setups, and programming
• Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Experience with AS9100 and lean manufacturing principles
• Background in 5S implementation and machine shop best practices

• 1st Shift (Monday - Thursday 4 x 10 s) or Weekend Shift (Friday – Sunday 3 x 12 s)
• Paid for 40 hours per week

Location Requirement: Must be able to reliably commute to or relocate to Des Moines, IA 50313 prior to starting
