Description
TPI is currently seeking a full-time 2nd shift Digital Operator to work on-site in Pennsauken, NJ.
Position SummaryThe Digital Press Operator manages the operation of digital press machines to print direct mail products, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality output. Responsibilities include efficient setup, machine stocking, troubleshooting, routine maintenance, and adhering to strict quality control standards.
Essential Functions- Set up and operate digital presses.
- Stock machines, troubleshoot, and perform light maintenance on equipment as needed.
- Monitor operations of presses and make adjustments as needed.
- Inspect and examine printed products for clarity, color accuracy, conformance to specifications and external defects.
- Follow strict quality control measures and pay close attention to detail.
- Stock presses by lifting and loading paper and remove finished product from press.
- Operate pallet jacks to transport paper stock to staging areas as needed.
- History of performing well under pressure.
- Capable of multi-tasking.
- Individual should be mechanically inclined and possess problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and comprehension skills both written and verbal.
- Team and goal oriented.
- Must be very detail oriented.
Education and Experience
- Experience running digital presses in a time sensitive printing and production environment.
- Traditional press room experience a plus.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Standing for extended periods and frequent lifting of up to 25 lbs. Continuous vision. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. Pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs. to move palletized load. Frequent reaching, twisting, and gripping up to 25 lbs. to move paper stock. Occasional crouching and use of hand tools during routine machine maintenance.
Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position. Typical hours are Monday through Friday. 1st shift is 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; 2nd shift is 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.; 3rd shift is 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Weekend hours may be required during peak production times. This position typically works 40-50 hours per week.
The range for this position is $17-$26 per hour. Compensation is dependent on experience and industry knowledge.
