General Production Worker
As a General Production Worker, you will be responsible for completing department sanitation duties, reporting equipment issues to supervisors or maintenance, packing and assembling product ingredients, and following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure product specifications are met. You will operate machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and may handle various types of heavy equipment, including forklifts. Additionally, you will troubleshoot automated equipment and use computers for daily work activities.
Responsibilities- Complete department sanitation duties.
- Report all equipment issues to supervisor and/or maintenance.
- Pack and assemble product ingredients.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure product specifications are met.
- Operate machinery and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Operate various types of heavy equipment, including forklifts.
- Troubleshoot automated equipment and other equipment issues.
- Use computers for daily work activities.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2-3 years of related experience in manufacturing or production preferred.
- Ability to lift 50 to 75 pounds.
- Proficiency in reading and writing English for documentation.
- Basic math skills with at least 1 year of experience; must pass a math test.
The work environment includes day shifts with a rotating schedule, which requires working some weekends. Employees will work with the production team in varying conditions, from dusty to cleaner environments, depending on the product. Protective gear such as dust masks, steel-toed boots, hair nets, eye protection, and safety glasses are provided. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Des Moines, IA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
