Mill Production Technician
Seeking a diligent Mill Production Worker to join our dynamic team. This role involves working with machines in the Mill that process products, monitoring the product being loaded into bags, operating scales to ensure proper weight, manually sealing bags, palletizing material, and ensuring proper labeling. Additionally, the role requires handling powder, lifting at least 50 lbs. regularly, and managing tasks such as dumping or pumping corrosive liquid/dry materials into tanks.
ResponsibilitiesOperate machines in the Mill for product processing.
Monitor product loading into bags and ensure accurate weight using scales.
Manually seal bags and palletize material.
Ensure proper labeling of all processed materials.
Handle powder and perform physically demanding tasks.
Lift at least 50 lbs. regularly.
Dump or pump corrosive liquid/dry materials into tanks.
Experience in general production and machine operation.
Material handling expertise.
Ability to handle physically demanding tasks.
Attention to detail and adaptability to varying workloads.
Skills & Qualifications
2+ years of production/manufacturing experience preferred.
Experience in landscaping, construction, or similar environments.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.

This is a fully on-site position in Des Moines, Iowa. The environment is dusty and non-temperature controlled, with potential exposure to strong fumes due to chemical manufacturing. Uniforms and shoe protection are provided. Shifts include 2nd shift from 4pm-2:30am, Monday-Friday, and another shift from 6am-2:30pm, Monday-Friday. The team consists of 8 people, and the workload can vary from slow to very busy, with opportunities for overtime.
This role requires lifting 50 lbs regularly.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Des Moines, IA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.75/hr.
