Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring Level I trauma experience and proficiency in circulating cases.

Job Details

• Work in a hospital operating room setting with patient populations including general, robotics, pediatrics, and trauma cases,

• Additional services include neuro, ortho (primarily trauma), gynecological, urology, transplant, plastics, ENT, and vascular,

• Monday through Friday schedule with 4x10 hour shifts and a rotating day off,

• On-call requirement up to 1 overnight per week and 3 weekends over a 13-week contract,

• Call schedule includes weekends from Friday 5:00 pm to Monday 6:30 am,

• Floating required across multiple campuses,

• Uses Epic EMR, recent Epic experience required,

Job Requirements

• Active Iowa or compact RN license required and must be current before consideration,

• Current BLS certification (AHA required),

• Minimum 2 years of current operating room RN experience,

• Proficient circulating skills required,

• Experience handling general, robotics, pediatrics, and trauma cases required,

• Recent Epic EMR experience within the past 3 years required,

• Level I trauma experience required,

• Must have completed at least one previous travel assignment within the past 12 months,

• Scrub experience preferred but not required,

Additional Information

• Primary responsibilities include circulating in a wide range of surgical cases,

• First time travelers will not be considered for this position,

• Must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major winter holidays,

• Only one day of time off will be approved during specified holiday periods,

• Professional reference from a supervisor within the past 2 years is required,
