American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Emergency Room RN for a night shift contract requiring compact or IA licensure and recent pediatric ER experience.
Requirements- Active IA RN license or compact/multistate license required
- Current BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), and TNCC certifications required
- Pediatric experience within the previous 24 months required
- Pediatric Emergency Room experience within the previous 15 months required, minimum 12 months for first-time travelers
- Epic EMR experience within the previous 12 months required
- Supervisory performance evaluation or reference from within the past 24 months preferred
- Valid driver's license required for consideration
- Pediatric Emergency Department setting within a children's hospital
- Patient population includes Pediatric Hem/Onc, Med Surg, and all pediatric specialties
- May float across NICU, B3 general floor, and PICU
- Patient ratio of 1:4 with a 12-bed unit
- Night shift schedule, 1900 start time, three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hrs/week)
- Every 4th weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- Uses Epic EMR
- Provide emergency nursing care across pediatric specialties with potential floating to NICU, PICU, and general floor units
- First-time travelers accepted with at least 12 months of Pediatric ER experience
- De-escalation certificate considered a plus
- Must work 1-2 of 3 upcoming Summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
- Past employees of the health system (FTE or PRN) are restricted from working travel assignments at other facilities within the same market
