Travel RN - Pediatrics

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatrics (Hem/Onc) night shift position requiring Pediatric Hematology/Oncology experience and an IA or compact RN license.

• Active IA RN license or compact/multistate license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS (AHA) and PALS (AHA) certifications required
• APHON (Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses) certification required
• Pediatric experience within the previous 18 months required
• Pediatric Hematology/Oncology experience required
• 24 months of combined Pediatric and/or Oncology experience required
• Epic EMR experience within the previous 12 months required
• Must be willing to float to the ED to care for inpatient holds
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Supervisory performance evaluation or reference from within the past 24 months preferred

• Pediatrics B4-Meth unit, including Pediatric Hem/Onc, Med Surg, and all pediatric specialties
• 14-bed unit with patient ratios of 1:2-4
• Night shift, 7p-7a, 36 hrs/week
• Every 3rd weekend required
• Possible on-call during low census hours )
• May float to NICU, B3 general floor, PICU, or the pediatric ED to help with general pediatric patients boarding in the ED
• Uses Epic EMR
• Provide nursing care across pediatric specialties including Hematology/Oncology, Med Surg, NICU, and PICU
• Must have completed at least one prior travel contract within the past 18 months; first-time travelers not considered
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Past UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN float pool) are ineligible to work travel assignments at other UPH markets within 12 months of separation
• Required to work 1-2 of the 3 upcoming Summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed
