Sage Group Health Care Staffing is seeking Med/Surg Registered Nurse for travel / contract position in Des Moines, IA. Accepting both local and traveler candidates. Travelers must reside 60+ outside of Madison area.

Contract Length: 13 weeks-Accepting both local and travel Candidates
Pay Rate:
Range $2700 to $3062 weekly Gross pay (Non-taxable travel/housing and M&I stipend available for qualified/eligible travelers)
Unit: Med Surg Units
Schedule: 36 hours / week guaranteed, 4 shifts per week, every other weekend or every 3rd weekend, and holiday coverage required if scheduled
Position Requirements :- Registered Nurse: 2 years
- Required - Med Surg Nursing experience:
Recent/Current 2 years – Required - Rehab patient care experience
- Required - Epic experience – Highly preferred
- Prior Travel Nursing experience 1+ year of multiple travel contracts completed
- Required - Must be willing to float to other facility campuses (within Des Moines) - Required
- ASN or an equivalent – Required
- BSN or an equivalent – Highly preferred
- RN License for State of IA or Compact
- Required - BLS and ACLS Certifications from AHA
- Required
- Provide all aspects of Nursing care for patients in Med Surg Units and provide care for Rehab/Ortho patients
- Provides safe, quality care for patients/residents according to individualized care planthat supports patient/resident outcomes.
- Regularlyassesses patient's/client's needs and provides skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physician authorized plan of care, and accepted standards ofnursing practice.
- Evaluateseffectiveness of treatment plan and makes suggestions or participates inupdating/revising the treatment plan in collaboration with other team members,utilizing current information to improve patient care.
- Processesphysician/provider orders and performs physician ordered care accurately,completely and in a timely manner.
- Followsup regarding medication changes and order clarifications.
- Must float to other facility campuses within Des Moines for units within pertinent skillset/unit if required
