American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a Pediatric ICU position requiring 24 months of PICU experience, PALS certification, and willingness to float to NICU, General Pediatrics, and ED.

• 12-bed, all-private-room PICU staffed by pediatric critical care physicians
• Cares for critically-ill or injured infants, children, and teens
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• Weekend requirement of every 4th weekend
• Minimal on-call duties as needed to fill immediate staffing needs
• May float to NICU, General Pediatrics, and ED patient holds as needed
• Uses Epic EMR
• Equipment experience with ventilators, high flow, Alaris IV pumps, and feeding pumps is highly preferred

• Active IA RN license or compact/multistate license required
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
• PALS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 24 months of current PICU/Pediatric Intensive Care experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must be willing to float to NICU and ED patient holds when needed
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Supervisory performance evaluation or reference from within the past 24 months preferred

• Provides critical care nursing to infants, children, and teens in a family-centered PICU environment
• Unit features private patient rooms, a family consultation room, and a family lounge with kitchenette
• Part of a hospital with a dedicated Pediatric Transport Team providing higher-level care access statewide
• Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Past UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN float pool) are ineligible to work travel assignments in another market within 12 months of separation
