American Traveler is hiring a Pediatrics RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring Hem/Onc experience and APHON certification.

• Pediatrics unit (Peds Hem/Onc, Med Surg, and all pediatric specialties) in a 14-bed children's hospital setting
• Patient ratios of 1:2-4
• Night shift, 7p-7a, 36 hrs/week
• Every third weekend required
• Possible on-call duty during low census hours )
• May float to NICU, general pediatric floor (B3), PICU, or the pediatric ED to help with general pediatric patients boarding in the ED
• Uses Epic EMR

• Active IA RN license or compact/multistate license required
• Current BLS (AHA) and PALS (AHA) certifications required
• APHON certification required
• Pediatric experience within the previous 18 months required
• Hematology/Oncology experience required
• Minimum 24 months of combined Pediatric and/or Oncology experience required
• Epic EMR experience within the previous 12 months required
• Must have completed at least one prior travel contract within the previous 18 months
• Must be willing to float to the ED to care for inpatient holds
• Valid driver's license required for consideration
• One supervisory performance evaluation or reference from within the past 24 months preferred

• Provide nursing care to pediatric patients across Hem/Onc, Med Surg, and general pediatric specialties
• Required to work 1-2 of the 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Past UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN float pool) are restricted from working travel assignments in other markets within 12 months of separation
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
