Your Impact as a Registered Veterinary TechnicianNote:
The Registered Veterinary Technician title refers to state‑specific licensing requirements; responsibilities may vary based on the Veterinary Practice Act and the responsibilities assigned by the veterinarian.
- Utilize your full skillset: provide comprehensive patient care, administer treatments, monitor anesthesia, and perform laboratory work.
- Lead and mentor the medical team, ensuring efficient workflow and helping others grow their skills.
- Serve as a key point of contact for pet owners, educating them on treatments, reviewing records, and answering questions.
- Contribute to a positive culture by participating in training, giving feedback, and upholding high standards of the hospital environment.
- Graduate of an AVMA‑accredited Veterinary Technician program.
- A current state veterinary technician license (RVT) in good standing.
- Proficiency in nursing, surgery, dental care, radiology, and laboratory procedures.
- A calm, efficient approach in fast‑paced situations.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for teamwork.
- One year of experience in the veterinary industry is preferred.
