Overview
We are seeking a Beauty Advisor who will provide an exceptional guest experience at Ulta Beauty, engaging guests to determine their needs, conducting cashier tasks, stocking fixtures, maintaining store cleanliness, and supporting store leadership through focus on service, guest care, and compliance standards. A passion for the beauty industry and strong product knowledge are required.
Responsibilities- Contribute to meeting or exceeding store goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, omni-channel sales, and shrink as set by Ulta Beauty.
- Provide exceptional guest service: greet and engage guests, personalize service, answer questions, inform about promotions, and recommend products or services.
- Handle customer service, sales, refunds, and exchanges; assist with online orders.
- Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales and guest satisfaction.
- Book appointments and support execution of in-store services and events to deliver an outstanding guest experience while achieving sales goals.
- Stay informed about new and existing products and services and communicate ingredients and benefits to guests.
- Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
- Contribute to an inclusive environment for teammates, peers, and guests.
- Share the benefits of the guest loyalty program and Ulta Beauty app with guests.
- Collaborate with managers and associates to grow the business.
- Participate in ongoing training to enable professional development and drive sales performance.
- Know and comply with Ulta Beauty policies, procedures, and standards.
- Adhere to Ulta Beauty’s dress code.
- Drive sales by keeping work areas replenished, signed, and faced; ensure testers are available.
- Maintain store cleanliness across all areas (sales floor, restrooms, cashwrap, backroom, break area).
- Participate in merchandising resets, planograms, displays, inventory procedures, and receiving shipments per Ulta Beauty best practices.
- Protect company assets with loss prevention practices and exceptional guest service.
- Execute other operational tasks as directed.
- High school diploma is preferred.
- 1 year of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Passion for guest service and selling.
- Proficiency with basic technology (e.g., POS systems, Apple devices).
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Ability to troubleshoot.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Position Requirements
- Flexible schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Continuous mobility throughout the store during shift.
- Frequent standing, bending, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, and twisting during shift.
- Frequent lifting up to 25 lbs. during shift.
- Regular coordination and manipulation of objects during shift.
