Job Description

As a Senior Account Executive, you will be responsible for building the PCS Software client base and procuring new business logos by contacting new prospects through cold calling and on‑site customer visits and closing multi‑year licensing agreements. This requires strong product knowledge, excellent written and verbal communication skills, critical thinking and problem‑solving skills, as well as consistent follow‑through and solid organizational skills to provide best‑in‑class service to our transportation and logistics customers.

The Senior Account Executive must have a hunter mentality and a proven record of meeting and exceeding past sales KPIs over the past five years. The position is based in the United States, requires travel to clients and trade shows, and offers a base salary range of $90,000 to $120,000 plus a monthly commission for a total compensation package ranging from $100,000 to $200,000 annually.

Responsibilities
  • Full life‑cycle sales focused on mid‑market and enterprise clients, involving strong follow‑up with current leads and constant outbound prospecting via calling, email campaigns, onsite visits, marketing events, user groups, and charitable events.
  • Strategically build a strong pipeline to ensure quota is consistently met.
  • Coordinate with Platform Engineers to schedule demonstrations and perform product demonstrations as needed.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and act as a trusted advisor to customers, understanding their transportation challenges and leveraging PCS’s value proposition.
  • Identify decision makers, establish relationships, and close deals.
  • Maintain accurate CRM data entry in , documenting daily sales activities.
  • Complete the full sales cycle from initial contact through implementation, then hand off to Account Manager and Customer Success teams.
Primary Work Location

Midwest USA region — Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Iowa, Wisconsin, Missouri. Work from a home address near a metro area with easy airport access and driveable distance to major cities (Chicago, St. Louis, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Detroit, Des Moines, etc.).
