Location:
Onsite – 4280 E 14th Street, Des Moines, IA 50313.
Expected Hours of Work:
Monday through Friday from 7:30AM to 5PM.

Vice President of Service Operations
Electric Pump, LLC and its family of companies have been in operation for the last 45 years providing fluid handling equipment to our customers in the industrial, municipal, and environmental markets. In addition, we are the largest pump service organization in the upper Midwest. Electric Pump is comprised of eight locations in seven states with approximately 135 employees. Job SummaryThe service technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain customer’s equipment.
Essential Functions- Perform highly diversified duties to install and repair fluid handling products.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of pumping equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of equipment.
- Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
- Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic.
- Read and interpret pump manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on pumps and equipment.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
High school diploma/GED
Preferred Education And ExperiencePost‑secondary or trade school is preferred but not required.
