Data Center Technician

Responsibilities

Our client is seeking multiple entry-level cable technicians who are willing to relocate to Altoona, Iowa for a 6‑month assignment. These technicians will be learning cabling on a grand scale and have an exclusive contract to build the cable infrastructure for them throughout the Meta data center. Their role will be to assist the higher‑level techs and the team leads in building out the infrastructure to include:

• Pulling cable
• Pulling fiber
• Learning color codes
• Learning how to punch down and terminate fiber
• Installing cable trays and pathways
• Building server racks

This is a great opportunity for an entry‑level technician to gain experience in the telecommunications trade with little to no background. It could be a career‑changing role for someone to work at a Meta data center, with room to move and be promoted within the company.

Hourly Rate: $20‑$27
OT:
Yes
Tax‑free daily per diem: $25‑$50
PM may consider higher hourly rate based on lead experience

Fully onsite in Des Moines, IA.
