Location: Des Moines, Iowa

Job Type: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Pay Range: $16–$17.50 per hour (with pay increase after 6 months)

We are seeking dependable and hardworking Demolition General Laborers to join our team. This role supports interior and exterior demolition activities, site clean‑up, and material handling. Candidates should be comfortable working in physically demanding environments and committed to maintaining safety and productivity on job sites. This is an opportunity to grow with a construction company well recognized in the Des Moines area.

• Use hand and power tools to break down building materials
• Load concrete into wheelbarrows and transport materials to dumpsters
• Assist with hauling debris and disposing of materials properly
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout job sites
• Demonstrate reliability and punctuality; occasional Saturdays may be required

• Minimum of 6 months of construction, labor, or demolition experience
• Ability to lift and move 50 lbs regularly, and up to 100 lbs when needed
• Ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors in various weather conditions for 8–10 hours per day

• Experience in construction, demolition, or landscaping
• Proficiency using wheelbarrows and basic construction tools
• Ability to work from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with willingness to work overtime & occasional Saturdays during busy season

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Clean record with the ability to pass a standard 7‑year background check

This is a fast‑paced environment with strong opportunities for advancement. Employees who demonstrate good attendance and performance can progress quickly, with significant overtime potential. Once hired full‑time, additional benefits and increased pay rates become available.

• Daily schedule begins at the shop, where crews meet to carpool to job sites
• Work may involve multiple job sites and occasional overnight travel, with per diem provided for those projects
• PPE is provided, but candidates must bring their own steel‑toed boots
• Jeans and work‑appropriate shirts are required; cut‑off shirts are not permitted

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Des Moines, IA.

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Des Moines, IA.
