Cloud Software Engineer (AWS CDK + Python)

Location:

Des Moines, IA (Hybrid or remote).

Employment type:

Contract (6-month assignment). Only W2.

• Shore up the critical Go Anywhere application to support onboarding 4,000–5,000 new file‑transfer connections.
• Engage in daily Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, refinement, daily huddles, retros) and collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams, including product owners, delivery managers, IS teams, and vendor partners.
• Apply AWS CDK (Python) to design, implement, and maintain infrastructure‑as‑code in our AWS account, including EC2, S3, Cloud Watch, and other relevant services.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, engaging solutions for stakeholders.
• Lead by example, pair‑program, and share knowledge with fellow engineers.

• Experience with AWS CDK and Python.
• Strong understanding of AWS concepts and core services.
• Software engineering experience with Git Hub, Jira, and Confluence.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain production‑grade infrastructure.

• Agile or team‑lead experience.
• Experience with managed file‑transfer or workload‑scheduling tools (e.g., File Gateway, Cleo, TWS).
• Remote or hybrid work flexibility.

A successful engineer on the team is highly collaborative, customer‑focused, security‑mindful, and proactive.
