We are seeking an experienced ETL Data Engineer to join an enterprise technology team focused on building, supporting, and optimizing data integration solutions. This is a 12-month contract position based in Des Moines, Iowa. You will work extensively with SAS and Informatica Power Center to develop reliable ETL processes that move and transform data across complex enterprise systems.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, test, implement, troubleshoot, and document ETL processes supporting enterprise data integration needs.
- Build and maintain ETL solutions using SAS and Informatica Power Center.
- Analyze large and complex datasets with a strong focus on data quality, accuracy, and performance.
- Develop and optimize ETL code based on technical specifications and business requirements.
- Investigate performance issues and identify opportunities to improve ETL processing efficiency.
- Maintain and support data sources to help ensure reliable and consistent data management.
- Work with scheduling and workload automation technologies such as Active Batch or comparable enterprise scheduling tools.
- Participate in data mapping and source-to-target analysis.
- Support the deployment and operation of data solutions within AWS environments.
- Follow established AWS deployment, security, and operational best practices.
- Collaborate with developers, data teams, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate integration requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot production data and ETL issues and help identify long-term solutions.
- Required
- Hands-on experience developing and supporting enterprise ETL and data integration solutions.
- Strong experience with SAS (Statistical Analysis System).
- Strong experience with Informatica Power Center.
- Experience coding, testing, debugging, implementing, and documenting ETL processes.
- Strong data analysis skills with an emphasis on performance and optimization.
- Experience maintaining and working with multiple enterprise data sources.
- Familiarity with Active Batch or a similar workload scheduling and automation platform.
- Understanding of AWS deployment practices and cloud-based data environments.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to investigate complex data issues.
- Preferred
- Experience performing data mapping and source-to-target mapping.
- Experience with Amazon Redshift and/or Teradata.
- Previous experience working with data in the health insurance or healthcare industry.
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise data environments with complex integrations.
