Responsibilities- Oversee and manage day-to-day driver and service-related activities and functions for assigned geographical/terminal driver locations, including daily planning, dispatch of customer orders, and ensuring that orders are dispatched and delivery windows are met.
- Manage day-to-day issues regarding service, equipment management (in conjunction with Region Manager), driver-related issues, and service deviations.
- Work with Central Planning Operations Manager/Senior Fleet Manager to analyze and provide solutions for chronic problems within operation, including performance to customer expectations, efficiency concerns, and driver performance.
- Able to navigate Solar's TMW dispatching software as well as multiple screens to utilize email, customer websites, and dispatching software.
- Ability to work a 12-hour shift including weekends.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Experience: 1+ yrs. experience in a Fleet Manager position at a logistics company preferred;
Experience in the transportation industry preferred;
Previous managerial experience preferred - Competencies: Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including strong listening skills;
Ability to operate independently without continuous oversight or direction;
Proven ability to prioritize and balance competing needs;
History of taking initiative to identify and solve work-related problems;
Experience in exercising initiative and sound judgment in decision-making
Pay Range: $50,000 - $62,000 per year. The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Kum & Go considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
