Our side and end dump drivers begin every day with a Pre-Task Planning meeting to go over assignments before being dispatched for the day. Drivers have the autonomy to independently execute tasks while staying connected to our team and working closely with experienced crews at active job sites.

CDL drivers at McAninch are responsible for maintaining vehicles, performing routine inspections, hauling materials in end dump, side dump, or pneumatic trucks, and communicating with the dispatcher throughout the day. We’re looking for focused individuals with exemplary driving records who are eager to contribute to major construction projects. To be eligible for our union truck driving jobs in Des Moines, Iowa, drivers need to meet the following requirements:

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Class A CDL certification preferred (Class B acceptable)
• Minimum of 2 years experience operating the same vehicle type (completion of an approved driver training program may be substituted for years of experience)
• Physical ability to sit for extended periods of time and climb, lift, balance, stoop, and handle materials as needed
• All CDL holders must be registered within the DOT Clearinghouse prior to hire
