Our distribution client is looking for a shipping and logistics clerk. This position will be responsible for coordinating routes with drivers, managing shipping paperwork, and assisting with inventory/data entry for the warehouse team.
Location: Des Moines, IA
Hours: 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM (Monday-Friday, 1-2 Saturdays/month during peak season Nov-Apr)
Pay:$18.75/hour
Duties:
- Processes and troubleshoot customer orders.
- Resolve order discrepancies as needed.
- Coordinate and update warehouse employees regarding new and modified orders.
- Review shipping and receiving reports to ensure accurate and on-time deliveries.
- Processes, audits and files various documentation.
Requirements:
- 1+ year of experience working in a customer service role within a logistics or distribution environment.
- Strong knowledge with BOLs.
- Strong customer service skills and attitude.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Basic math skills.
