Your Next Great Adventure Awaits!Leidos is seeking an Engineer Drafter to join the National Airspace System Integration Support Contract (NISC IV) Team. This position will support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Seattle Communications Engineering Center in Des Moines, WA.
Primary Responsibilities- The NISC IV program at Leidos is seeking Engineer Drafter to work in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Regional Office in Des Moines, WA.
- The Engineer Drafter will provide electronics drafting support to the FAA Seattle Communications Engineering Center for Legacy Infrastructure Future Technologies (LIFT) program related projects such as NEXCOM Radios, Air-to-Ground Protocol Converter and Airport Cable Loop, and other National Airspace System (NAS) modernization projects.
- Provide Computer-Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) support for LIFT related projects using Micro Station, AutoCAD and Master Spec in conformance with FAA standards.
- Prepare new CADD drawings and facility documentation, and revise existing CADD drawings and facility documentation.
- Update engineering drawings to incorporate “redline” comments, and reflect "as built" conditions.
- Assist with archiving documentation of site surveys.
- Assist in preserving existing drawings and documentation by scanning, digitization, and rasterization.
- Assist in the electronic conversion of legacy drawings.
Please Note: Must be able to work onsite, Des Moines, WA.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of prior relevant experience OR Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience OR Associates Degree in CAD AND/OR additional years of relevant experience may be considered and/or accepted in lieu of degree.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD).
- Experience in architectural design, detailing, and construction documents.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance Suitability (To be eligible for Public Trust Security Clearance, one must be either a U.S. Citizen OR a U.S. Permanent Resident/Green Card holder who has resided in the U.S.A for the past 3 years of the past 5 years consecutively with no breaks).
- Familiarity with FAA and the National Airspace System (NAS).
Program budget salary for this role could fall anywhere between $80,000 to $100,000 with a slight wiggle room (no guarantees) based on relevant experience and assessment. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
Pay Range: $67,600.00 - $. This range is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
