Job OverviewReports to the Shift Supervisor. Works in a 24‑hour production environment with 1st shift (Mon‑Fri 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.) and 2nd shift (Mon‑Fri 2:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.).
Responsibilities- Prepare and process parts using a variety of polishing techniques.
- Work closely with Experienced Polish Operators and Department Leads to complete work and prioritize tasks.
- Learn to follow shop traveler, technique card, customer Purchase Orders, and instructions from experienced Operators and Department Leads.
- Review and identify internal paperwork to ensure all previous operations were completed; notify Production Supervisor and Quality Assurance team of any processing errors.
- Prepare parts for operation, including mechanical or chemical cleaning.
- Prepare parts as called out in Purchase Orders and Tech Cards.
- Perform inspection, measuring, and testing of part surfaces as required.
- Perform pre‑ and post‑cleaning surface finish requirements.
- Follow Quality Assurance requirements.
- Follow safety precautions as trained.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Ability to wear an N95 respirator as needed; FAA fit test is required.
- Must have a regular and dependable attendance record.
- Ability to read/write and communicate in English with employees, customers, and auditors.
- Position requires access to export‑controlled information; applicants must satisfy U.S. export control regulations and have authorization to work in the U.S.
- FAA DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program: initial pre‑employment drug test (screen for THC) and quarterly testing.
- 1–2 years in a manufacturing or production environment; experience with wheel lathes and/or dynafiles is a plus.

Very Heavy for Operators. Requires ability to bend, lift, twist, turn, and sustain physical activity such as bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, crawling, and climbing stairs or ladders. Must be able to lift up to 114 lbs. floor‑to‑knee, 63 lbs. floor‑to‑waist, and 75 lbs. floor‑to‑knee‑to‑waist. Frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and turning are required.
