Computer Numerical Control Machine Operator – above 25 applicants can apply.
Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
Location:
Greater Seattle Area. Pay: $28.00–$45.00.
- Analyze job orders, engineering drawings and technical specifications to identify tooling requirements.
- Collect and assemble necessary tools, fixtures and other items needed for production.
- Sharpen tooling using grinders and powered hand tools.
- Remove and replace dull cutting tools following safety protocols.
- Stock and organize materials and fixtures within the designated storage area.
- Issue purchase order requests for low‑stock or unavailable items.
- Enter inventory use into ERP for accurate tooling records.
- Set up and operate automated CNC vertical and horizontal machines.
- Accurately locate/identify the X, Y, Z axes on vertical and horizontal machines.
- Perform daily point checks and report concerns; may initiate maintenance requests.
- Meet departmental/company goals and objectives, such as efficiencies, scrap control, time‑motion and setup time reductions.
- Accurately interpret blueprints, drawings, sketches, set‑up sheets and other work instructions.
- Use scales, calipers, micrometers and height gauges to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Mount, install, align and secure tools, attachments, fixtures and work pieces on machines using hand tools and precision instruments.
- Listen to machines during operation to detect irregular sounds; adjust machines and notify personnel as needed.
- Adjust machine feed, speed, change cutting tools or controls when programming is faulty or machines malfunction.
- Stop machines to remove finished work pieces or change tooling, set‑up, or workpiece placement as required by machining sequences.
- Lift work pieces to machines manually or with hoists or cranes.
- Enter control instructions into machine control units to start operation.
- Monitor and adjust coolant systems.
- Transfer commands from servers to CNC modules using computer network links.
- Set up future jobs, perform inspections or part checks, clean work area, or perform other duties while machines are operating.
- Assist in training new operators.
- Deburr machined parts as required for work in process.
- Operate forklift (on‑site certification required if applicable).
- Follow all safety policies and procedures; consistently use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Communicate verbally in English and follow verbal and written instructions.
Regular attendance on site at the workplace is required.
Required Education And Work Experience- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of six (6) months experience in a manufacturing role utilizing CNC machines or similar automated equipment.
- Relevant apprenticeship or vocational training in a machine shop, manufacturing technology, or similar program may be considered in lieu of paid work experience.
Full‑time.
