Position: Small Animal Associate Veterinarian Job
Job Description

Our client is seeking a Small Animal Associate Veterinarian to join a well-equipped, medically progressive setting where high-quality patient care and thoughtful clinical decision-making are strongly encouraged. The caseload is varied, providing opportunities to manage routine appointments alongside more involved medical and surgical cases while building trusted relationships with pet owners.

The position offers exposure to advanced diagnostics and treatment options, including surgery, radiology, ultrasound, cardiology-related cases, oncology care and laser therapy. Alongside traditional small animal medicine, there is also the opportunity to encounter reptile patients and urgent care presentations, making this a particularly varied role for a veterinarian who enjoys broadening their clinical experience.

A collaborative support team and access to professional development resources allow the successful veterinarian to continue strengthening their skills while maintaining autonomy over patient care.

In this position, your responsibilities will include:
  • Delivering comprehensive consultations, diagnostics and treatment plans across a varied caseload
  • Guiding clients through clinical findings and available treatment options with clear, compassionate communication
  • Managing medical and surgical cases while maintaining consistently high standards of patient care
  • Working closely with veterinary support staff to coordinate efficient and effective case management
  • Contributing positively to continued clinical improvement and knowledge sharing within the workplace
Qualifications Needed:
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent veterinary qualification
  • Current eligibility to practise veterinary medicine in Washington State
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish lasting client relationships
  • A collaborative approach combined with sound independent clinical judgement
  • Commitment to delivering compassionate, evidence-led veterinary care
Package:
  • Monthly production bonus structure with no negative accrual
  • Comprehensive medical, dental and vision insurance options
  • Annual continuing education allowance with dedicated paid CE time
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer contribution
  • Professional liability insurance provided
  • Paid maternity leave provisions available
  • Long-term and short-term disability insurance included
  • Access to ongoing mentorship and structured professional development
  • Opportunities to progress toward future clinical or leadership responsibilities
  • Telemedicine healthcare access provided as part of the wider benefits offering
