Automotive Technician, Automotive Mechanic
CARSTAR Murray’s in Des Moines is hiring an Auto Body Technician for our highest-volume shop. As a Tesla-certified repair center, we keep the bays full, so a fast, skilled tech never sits around waiting on work. On flat rate, steady work is what turns into a bigger paycheck, and that’s exactly what we offer.
Murray’s Collision Group is a family-owned collision repair company that has served the Puget Sound since 1984. We’re big enough to offer real benefits and steady work across multiple locations, and small enough that your name and your work matter. If you’re a body tech in South King County tired of slow weeks, fighting traffic into Seattle or working weekend shifts, this is a role worth a look.
Whytechs choose us
- 4-day work week: A 4x10 schedule gives you three-day weekends every week, and you never work weekend shifts.
- Real earning power:
We pay a flat rate of $22–$30 per flagged hour, based on skill, quality and experience. A good, experienced tech here produces 2 flagged hours for every hour worked. At $26, that’s about $2,080 a week, or over $100,000 a year on a 40-hour week. There’s no cap, and great techs earn more. - Steady volume:
As our busiest shop and a Tesla-certified repair center, Des Moines has a consistent flow of work to keep your hours flagged. - Tesla and I-CAR training:
