Warehouse Clerk

Methode Electronics is seeking a Warehouse Clerk responsible for material handling including receiving, inspecting for damage, stocking, and shipping within a warehouse, shipping, and receiving dock.

• Unload carrier trucks
• Maintain First In, First Out (FIFO) inventory system
• Ensure all counts and shipping documents accurately represent material and product being shipped and received before signing
• Sort and place materials in predetermined storage locations in the warehouse or plant
• Pull inventory and prepare shipments for customer pick‑up
• Report material shortages to purchasing agent
• Accurately record during physical inventories
• Comply with all safety rules, policies and procedures, maintain neat and orderly work areas
• Other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or GED required
• One year of general work experience
• Must be able to read English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual
• Must be able to write routine reports and communicate in English
• Ability to learn to operate powered lift trucks and other material movers
• Ability to work independently
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
