Kar Medic is seeking an experienced Automotive Shop Foreman to join the team in DeSoto, TX. This hands‑on leadership opportunity pays $38-$40 per hour on a salary pay plan, with weekly pay and monthly bonus opportunities. The ideal candidate will bring strong diagnostic abilities, leadership skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to manage workflow while developing and supporting the technician team.
Key Responsibilities- Lead daily shop operations by managing vehicle flow, workflow, dispatch, and quality control
- Diagnose complex automotive issues across multiple makes and models with precision
- Perform hands‑on automotive repair and diagnostic work as needed
- Support technicians of all levels with challenging repairs, diagnostics, and technical concerns
- Mentor and train developing technicians to improve their skills and efficiency
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with Service Advisors regarding vehicle status, repair needs, and workflow
- Oversee repair quality and help ensure work is completed correctly the first time
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment
- 5-7+ years of automotive shop foreman experience
- Strong automotive diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across multiple makes and models
- Strong hands‑on automotive repair skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with Service Advisors and technicians
- Technology savvy, computer literate, and comfortable learning and using new automotive technology
- Experience with Tekmetric and Shop‑Ware is highly preferred

Kar Medic offers an experienced foreman the opportunity to take an active leadership role in daily shop operations while remaining hands‑on with diagnostics and repairs. You’ll manage vehicle flow, support and mentor technicians, collaborate with Service Advisors, and help maintain a strong standard for repair quality. Experience with modern shop technology, including Tekmetric and Shop‑Ware, is highly valued.
