U.S. National – The DeSoto Artist Lab Residency Program is back and bigger than ever with our 5th annual artist residency opportunity!

We’re on the lookout for bold, brilliant, and passionate artists—from painters to poets, dancers to digital creators—to bring their talents to life right here in the heart of DeSoto. Whether you’re just starting out or have been creating for years, this is your chance to grow your craft, connect with the community, and make something amazing.

• A paid residency (you’ll receive a stipend)
• Your own creative space in the community
• A chance to collaborate with city partners, local businesses, or community organizations
• Mentorship, support, and the spotlight your work deserves
• Tons of community engagement and fun

From 1 to 6 months, you’ll dive into your artistic practice with full support—whether you’re a solo creator or part of a multi‑disciplinary team.

Awards for this program will range from $1,500 for a short‑term project‑based residency up to $10,000 for a longer residency performed over several months.

Emerging or professional artists who have a strong interest in engaging the community are eligible to apply. Artists working in all media are eligible. Preference is given to artists who live in DeSoto, Texas.

Spots are limited to up to 10 artists who will be selected through a competitive process. Bring your best ideas, your passion, and your vision. Let’s create something unforgettable together!
