We are searching for a Licensed Clinician (LPC, LMSW, LMFT, LMFT‑A) with experience in inpatient psychiatric services. Serving as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team, the Clinician will provide therapeutic group and individual services to adult, adolescent or child patients under DBHH care for emotional or substance abuse problems.
Responsibilities- Provide therapy in a group and individual setting.
- Develop and implement therapeutic treatment plans in concert with the interdisciplinary team.
- Apply Cognitive Behavioral Theory and methodology in treatment.
- Contribute effectively to discharge planning.
- Plan and prepare for therapeutic activities.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Perform related duties as requested.
- Uphold the organization’s ethics and customer service standards.
- Education: Master’s Degree in a relevant field (social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychology).
- Licenses: LPC, LMSW, LMFT or LMFT‑A required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a healthcare field or a combination of education and experience. Inpatient psychiatric experience preferred.
- Language: Bi‑lingual English/Spanish a plus.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent communication, assessment, evaluation, and interpretation skills; bi‑lingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Knowledge of psychiatric and addictive disease diagnoses and treatment; flexibility; teaching/training skills helpful; understanding of DSM‑5 methodology.
- Advanced clinical skills in diagnosis and treatment of mental health disorders; knowledge of patient rights and laws pertaining to mental health.
- Basic PC skills:
Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel; typing at least 30 words per minute. - Excellent interpersonal skills, good listener, pleasant demeanor.
- Strong multitasking, prioritization, and time‑management skills.
- Screening: Must successfully pass background check, drug screen, physical exam, and provide positive employment references.
Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand for sustained periods, walk, pull, lift, and raise objects up to 50 lbs; grip and manipulate items; perform repetitive wrist and finger motions; detect, determine, perceive, and identify sensory stimuli; perform tasks requiring rapid and accurate verbal expression; and handle oversight of environmental and interpersonal safety.
