Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per year

Construction Company-based in Inlet Beach, Florida, is a premier home and resort builder known for its high‑end craftsmanship and integrated real estate development. The company operates in a beautiful, high‑growth area with five years of development remaining. They are building the high‑end Kaya Beach Resort and actively expanding beyond homebuilding. A high‑end builder in a single‑family community, they construct 45‑50 homes annually, frequently collaborating with St.

Joe and exploring additional lot purchases.

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager with a strong background in construction accounting to join our team in Walton County, FL. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented professional ready to step into a high‑level position within a growing company, while enjoying the lifestyle of Northwest Florida.

• Manage all accounting operations related to construction projects
• Oversee month‑end and year‑end closings
• Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards
• Handle accounts payable/receivable, payroll, general ledger, and job costing
• Perform variance control and job‑level variance analysis
• Review balance sheets and P&L statements to ensure accuracy
• Work closely with project managers to maintain accurate job cost tracking
• Support audits, tax filings, and financial reporting
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5–10 years of accounting experience, with a construction background
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Sage 300, etc.)
• Strong analytical skills and ability to make quick, accurate decisions
• Experience with job costing, variance control, and WIP reporting
• Comfortable working at a higher level beyond basic bookkeeping
• No CPA required

• CPA or CMA certification
• Prior experience managing an accounting team
