Overview
Guest Advocate (Cashier or Front of Store Attendant/Cart Attendant) (T2085) s role involves helping guests, processing transactions, and supporting store operations to ensure a positive guest experience.
Responsibilities- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest experience by delivering the service standard.
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests and assisting with daily tasks.
- Engage with guests to understand and solve their specific needs.
- Inform guests about current promotions, store activities, and events.
- Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to resolve issues and improve guest experience.
- Thank guests and acknowledge their choice to shop at Target.
- Promote Target Loyalty programs and assist with sign-up as needed.
- Scan and bag items efficiently and accurately, following safety standards and best practices.
- Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy.
- Educate guests on features and offerings within the Target App, including Wallet.
- Be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, and online ordering; assist guests with enrollment and use.
- Handle returns following Target policies; partner with leaders as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and manage baskets and hangers as needed.
- Stock supplies during store hours and remain available to assist guests.
- Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work in a safe manner and report hazards.
- Support guest services such as order pickup, drive-up, and related duties in compliance with laws and policies.
- Other duties based on business needs.

- You thrive in a fast-paced, active role that requires teamwork, flexibility, and problem solving.
- You are open to flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times.
- Effective communication and a welcoming attitude toward guests and teammates.

- Ability to educate guests about products and services and operate technology equipment as directed.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; stay focused in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of handling multiple tasks within established time frames.
- Accurately handle checkout operations and transactions; support cash office as needed.
- Scan, move, and stock merchandise safely; frequently lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 44 pounds with or without assistance.
- Flexible work schedule, reliable attendance, and ability to stay mobile during shifts.
- Work in varying temperatures and environments, including Drive-Up and carryout duties.
